Personality
Very animalistic and relies much more on instinct than thought. He tends to observe his surroundings and what’s happening before acting, but in some situations, he’ll act without any thinking.
He’s wary about most other beings and would prefer to avoid them if at all possible, unless he's actively hunting. He's incredibly territorial and unless he sees another being he's interested in interacting with, gets more aggressive towards to make them leave him be, if they don't back off, he resorts to killing (and honestly gets to that point pretty quickly).
If he gets used to being around someone, and actually decides he likes them, he'll start to show his more calm behaviors and hang around them more.
However, it's not easy to genuinely piss him off, any aggression he displays is simply his nature.
He's not the best with words and his sentences are incredibly broken up and more often than not, he uses weird noises to convey what he’s trying to say. Snorts, grunts, growls, hisses and various screams make up the majority of it.

Story
Like any skistomid, he started off as a parasitic worm, but to ravenous being known as a skygger, who's blood turns anything that consumes it into another skygger. This also causes physical abnormalities, which in Tape's case, is increased size, hyperdontia (extra teeth, tusks, some of which are found on his clavicles and forearms), and increased coloration.
An uncommonly used trail went through a small part of Tapeworm's territory, he kept this particular area very manicured, very disorienting for those that strayed. This was to the point of even changing the cocurse of the trail itself to lure any travelers to him.
A
This stopped when a traveler happened to offer him enough food to keep him interested and to actually follow them around for awhile. It didn’t take very long for them to get to a cavern that he was very unfamiliar with and that felt off to him. It was still quite a ways away for him because of being able to get around with his age. When they were going through it, he heard whispering in a language he understood much less than his own. It seemed like the ground and all the fungus, from the largest trees to the smallest molds, were trying to direct him somewhere, so he followed.
It took him through the cavern, in a different direction, and through the shadows to get to an area that was completely closed off from the rest. It was much more surreal than the rest of his planet, with floating rocks almost in a path and a glowing river below it. In the middle of this path was one rock higher than the other, a piece of hematite. His instincts told him to go over and swallow it, not knowing that it contained the god to his planet. When he did, the power from it overwhelmed him and caused him to pass out.
When he awoke, he found himself on a very different planet, one that was too bright and too loud for him. Fortunately, he managed to find a large concrete building that had been empty for a good while and took up nesting in that. The planet he went to was abundant in easy prey, so it was easy for him to overeat and become fat.
After several years of being on this planet, he came across another godly monstrous being named Ankhanum and the two quickly bonded. Since then, they’ve been hanging out on different worlds and harassing any other gods they come across.
Powers
- can move around in the shadows, it looks like he sinks down into them, but once there, it more feels like walking around to him
- Bend the shadows, pulling them out, using them how he wants. He doesn't quite know exactly how powerful he is with them, usually uses them to destroy things
- Complete control over his planet, being the god to it and everything. He can't do anything to it unless he's actually on it
Physical abilities
- Hefty claws for digging through flesh and ground, can probably pry rocks apart, stabs people with them
- Stupid strong jaws, likely around as strong as T.Rex had, and an added bonus of tusks
- Physical strength, can't pick up really giant things unless he uses the shadows to assist, his strength is best with the force of his whole body behind it
- Excellent hearing, can hear even intricate details, occasionally makes noises to navigate when it's otherwise quiet enough.
Weaknesses
Pretty much, he can't really do anything godly unless he's on his own planet, and if he's somewhere with fewer shadows, he really cannot do much with that as well and would only be able to rely on his physical strength.
Because of his weight and size (and tail), he can't move incredibly fast, he can charge, but not run. His eyesight is also terrible because of being infected with a bioluminescent bacteria.
He's also not very smart and doesn't even come close to knowing the full range of his powers.
